The Secretary is the chief administration officer of CAQ. The Secretary is responsible for ensuring that the organization is run in accordance with the constitution, rules, by-laws, policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • to promote croquet within and beyond the croquet community;
  • in conjunction with the President, convene all meetings, prepare and circulate agendas and all necessary documentation, prepare and distribute minutes
  • collaborate with President, Vice-President and all members of the Management Committee
  • act as a primary point of contact for all enquiries and keep a register of all correspondence
  • action everyday emails and refer emails to relevant CAQ officers

Skills

  • a passion for the sport of croquet
  • some knowledge of, or willingness to learn, the legislation relating to non-profit organizations
  • efficient management, organizational and administrative skills and technological skills commensurate with the position
