The Events Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the smooth administration and operation of CAQ tournaments. This role provides a vital link between CAQ, Code Coordinators, clubs, referees, and players to deliver tournaments that reflect CAQ’s Aims and Ideals. The Events Coordinator plays a key role in planning, communication, and compliance, ensuring that events are well-organized, inclusive, and aligned with CAQ policies.
Responsibilities
- to promote croquet within and beyond the croquet community
- Coordinate programs
- Work closely with: CAQ Management, Code Coordinators, Clubs, Selection Committees (AC & GC), Manager of Trophies & Awards, and volunteers to plan, manage and oversee tournaments to ensure a smooth delivery
- Calendar Management: Collaborate with Code Coordinators, Clubs, CAQ Management, and Selection Committees to compile the annual events calendar.
- Ensure clubs and volunteers are suitably prepared for events through effective communication and support.
- Maintain Events portal of RevSport to set up & monitor event entries, withdrawals etc
- Promote a positive culture
- Be familiar with and apply Tournament Regulations & Tournament Guidelines (CAQ & CA) and CAQ relevant Policies.
Skills
- Passion for the sport
- Strong communication skills with a focus on positivity and collaboration
- Possess good time management skills
- Competence in using technology in particular RevSport Events Portal and Croquet Scores
- Pro-active approach to problem-solving and event delivery
